Bryan – Well, you guys may know that I am a co-founder of the Nashville Whiskey Society, so of course, my favorite Christmas cocktail is a Spiced Manhattan. But, of course, I go a little heavy on the bourbon…
Hope – My favorite Christmas cocktail is honestly just a nice glass of red wine or some spiked apple cider! Yum!
What’s your favorite Christmas memory/is there a toy you received that to this day still makes you smile thinking of it?
Bryan – This past Christmas, my wife gave me the perfect man-gift…season tickets to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, my favorite football team! So, this year, we’ve gotten to travel to and from the games together and it’s been an absolute blast! My wife is cool!
Hope – My favorite Christmas memory is as a kid making cookies for santa the night before and my parents allowing us to open one present each! I need to find the picture, but there was one Christmas when I was probably 11 where I got a huge poster of Britney Spears and I was so proud of it!! haha!
What sort of things did you get in your stocking as a child?
Bryan – I think the standard socks, candy, and, in true rebellious musician style, coal!
Hope – My mom was and still is a pro at stuffing a stocking with what we call “trinkets” haha! We would get socks, CD’s, make-up, gift cards, and some candy!
Do you have a favorite Christmas album?
Bryan – Steven Curtis Chapman put a Christmas album together many years ago that I absolutely wore out! In fact, I use to sing one of the songs in my dad’s church (he’s a pastor) every Christmas; it was called “Precious Promise.”
Hope – Michael Buble’s Christmas album never gets old. His voice was just made to sing Christmas songs!!
Do you have any favorite tradition’s or favorite movie’s for the holiday season?
Bryan – One of my family’s newer traditions is that we all wear matching PJs on Christmas morning!
Hope – Christmas movies the night before! One of my favorites is “Four Christmases” and of course the classics (A Christmas Story, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation)!!
What’s been your favorite album/song of 2017?
Bryan – My favorite album this year has been, crazy enough, Chance the Rapper’s “Mix Tape.” My favorite song this year has been “That’s What I Like” by Bruno Mars. It’s just fun to sing and who doesn’t love Bruno, right?
Hope – My favorite album this year was probably Lady Antebellum’s “Heartbreak” I’ve also been listening to Little Big Towns new album!
What are your hopes for 2018? Any exciting plans?
Bryan – My hopes for 2018 are to start sharing songs with our fans from a completely new project. We have been releasing songs at a breakneck speed. I think this past year we released five. We may not do that many this year, but I think our fans can expect more awesome songs, more awesome videos, and hopefully more opportunities to connect with us on our socials and in person around the country.
Hope – Everything Bryan said about music, super excited to get back in the studio and start playing some new songs live! Also I’m getting married so that’s super exciting!
