Paul of Jericho Woods Band, Shares his Southern Sausage Balls Christmas Tradition
Welcome to Paul from Jericho Woods Kentucky kitchen. Grab yourself a little nip of Bourbon and let’s get cookin’! Here’s one of his very favorite holiday recipes. Good ol’ sausage balls…a Southern Christmas tradition.
Mine aren’t as good as my Granny’s, but they’ll do in a pinch! 
Preheat oven to 300 degrees
Take one pound of your favorite country breakfast sausage (I like Jake’s Hot Country Sausage from 150 Quick Stop in Bardstown, KY),
2 cups of your favorite cheese (I like a mix of sharp cheddar and pepper jack)
2 cups of Jiffy Baking Mix or Bisquick (your choice)
Mix all of these together. I like to kick mine up with a little Super Turnip Greens Colt Ford Pepper Sauce. It’s so good, it’ll make your tongue slap your brains out! Anyway…Mix all together and form into balls, place on a cookie sheet, and bake for about 30 minutes
If you need to take these to a Christmas party, they travel well in a crock pot!
