Our Adventure began as soon as we landed in NYC this week. We had one mission: eat as much as possible. #accomplished

Next stop, Carnegie Deli in Manhattan.  USA Today has called the restaurant the “most famous” deli in the United States.

Luckily we were quickly seated and devoured this Corned Beef Sandwich with pickles and potato salad. These sandwiches are even bigger in person! The line grows fast so make sure you have enough time when you go there, they are always super busy!

Then it was finally time to check into our room at the Waldorf Astoria, after a quick Witbier Empire Whiteaphro Beer and a Robert Burns cocktail (sheep dip blended scotch whisky, cinzano rosso sweet vermouth, benedictine liqueur, emile pernot ‘vieux pontarlier’ absinthe) at their Peacock Alley Bar. Darren the Bartender was fantastic!

We began with brunch at The Saint Catherine in Brooklyn. The Baked Eggs with gruyere, onion, tomato, and spicy red sauce, served with rosemary toast go good with their 2-for-1 cocktails!

Next stop: you guessed it, sandwiches again! This is New York’s most iconic deli, Katz Delicatessen. Home to the world’s greatest pastrami sandwich. Where Harry met Sally. We really enjoyed the pastrami Reuben sandwich! (they do ship nationwide if your hungry now)

I think we can all agree that NY pizza is better than every other pizza in the US. The best part, pretty much anywhere in New York  you can shove it in your face at 4am.  This one was delivered via bicycle from Lenny and Johns Pizzeria! Open since 1969, this institution serves pizza, sandwiches & Italian entrees until the wee hours.

Day 3 in NYC:

And finally we were headed to brunch on Sunday at Tom’s in Brooklyn before heading back to the airport. However, the line was extremely long. We decided to take a chance and go next door to the less crowded Sunshine Co. I am very glad we did! Hands down the best food and drinks on this New York City adventure.

I devoured their famous BRUSSEL SPROUT HASH (Crisp bacon, potato, onions, red pepper, poached eggs, smoked paprika, toast) Just look at that gorgeous poached egg…

I hope you enjoyed my trip as much as I did. Please let me know know what you think and leave comments of your favorite places for next time! Until we meet again New York!
